I was looking into names for my OC’s and I found out almost all of the names of the characters in Dragon Age are Celtic/Gaelic.

I think some of them are really fitting!
Cailan means “child”, Wynne means “White/fair” and Teagan means “Poet or Philospher”

Those are just some of them though, but I think it’s interesting!

Thinking about that confession I reblogged, I really am sad that I don’t get more feedback for my artwork.

On things that I really work on, it’d be nice to get some feedback that wasn’t just “that’s so cute!” or something along those lines. Not that I don’t love those, but it gets to a bit depressing.

I’d like for once to hear a “I like the colors you picked” or “these colors would have gone better with this” or, “your lineart is getting better” or “your lineart needs to be thicker/thinner” or “I really like that you incorporated this” or “next time I think you should add more lighting to the picture” or “You’re getting better”

I agree, but Grunt does have a lot of respect for Shepard, it just isn’t for being his ‘momma’.  He respects her because of how fucking strong she is as a warrior and he likes that.  It’s the type of respect that is developed over time.  At first, he had no respect for her, but it grew and grew and grew until he respected her more than almost anyone on the battlefield.

Seriously though someone doesn’t understand that “Warriors like us? Straight to the face” is literally the most respectful fucking thing that a Krogan can say to anyone because of their natural bruishness and knack for killing shit.

Also, it’s a joke. Calm the fuck down. You don’t have to like it, but let us that enjoy the joke enjoy it for pity’s sake. While it brings a disgusting rotten sour taste to your mouth, it makes others feel happy and smile.

I think it’s fine for the fandom to think that way, I mean, Grunt is technically only a year or so old, if you don’t count the fact that he was “birthed” as an adolescent. I think it’s fine for the fandom to think of Shepard as Grunt’s “mama” because technically she is the one who let him out of that tank,and I think all of the values,techniques and other things Shepard instilled into her crew stuck to him like she was a mother figure to him.

The krogan probably don’t think that way, but as humans we see it as a motherly figure, since Grunt is technically the youngest of the team. Besides if the Mass Effect fandom wasn’t allowed to make jokes and silly canon’s about things in the series, we probably would all be having a miserable time because of how depressing people make it out to be since ME3.

It just sounds like you don’t want the fandom to have any fun, don’t take it that way, we all played the game, we all know how it really is.

What it does show is an - imo - unrealistic expectation of female anatomy.

I remember seeing Ashley in her romance scene and thinking “Wow it doesn’t take much to break her in half these days.”

If it really wouldn’t have mattered what FemShep’s body looked like, why change it at all?

Femshep was about an A-B cup in Mass Effect 1 and 2 right? She developed to be about a C or D cup in Mass Effect 3. They rounded out her hips, and gave her a bigger butt as well. They bulked up Male Shep too, and gave him a nicer build as well. They changed them both, and yes I understand as a woman that the media tries to make it so that women with big breasts, super skinny, etc are ideal but I don’t think it should be taken that way. I’m a bigger girl, I have bigger breasts than femshep, and I’m a little rounder in some aspects compared to her as well. But that doesn’t mean that I ever disliked her body model just because it was “ideal” or that it was stereotyping women’s bodies in any way.

They didn’t make her run around in a belly shirt and short shorts (though that dress was pretty awkward) or overly sexify her. She changed, and grew just as Ashley changed and grew as well. This is all my opinion, and people are allowed to disagree but I like Shepard with big boobs, or no boobs, I like Shepard who’s a little chubby, or Shepard who’s skinny. I like the ideal that Shepard could be any other women just like any of us, because she changes like our bodies would too.

Maybe that’s not what Bioware intended, and maybe I sound silly, but I don’t dislike her body. And in the end, isn’t how you perceive your Shepard the only thing that matters?
